The Table Rock State Park is a recreation area on the shores of Table Rock Lake Branson in Taney County southwest of the U.S. state of Missouri. Ten thousand years ago lived members of the Bluff Dwellers in the region. White settlers from Tennessee and North Carolina could be from the early 19th century in the area down. In the late 1950s a dam was built to extract electrical energy and to regulate the flow during flood on White River with the Table Rock Dam. The 144 -acre State Park opened in 1959 on a section of the shore south next to the new dam. Facilities include campsites, amphitheater, playgrounds, beaches and a boat harbor and other infrastructure for water skiing, sailing and paddle boats or diving in the clear waters.
