Río Tacuarembó

The Río Tacuarembó is a river in Uruguay.

He is, together with the Rio Yi, the most important tributary of the Río Negro. Its source is in the north of the department of Rivera between the Cuchilla de Cuñapirú and Cuchilla Negra. From there it runs south through the city Tranqueras. Later it forms part of the border between the Departatmentos Rivera and Tacuarembó. After he then crosses the Departamento Tacuarembó from north to south, he finally ends at the border of the department of Durazno as a right-side tributary to the Río Negro.

Its catchment area covers an area of 14,000 km ².
