Tadeusz Iwiński

Tadeusz Iwinski ( born October 28, 1944 in Piastów ) is a Polish politician, since 1991 Member of the Sejm in the III. , IV, V and VI. Legislature and lecturer.

Curriculum vitae

He was after the conclusion of the Faculty of Chemistry at Warsaw University of Technology for Engineering Master of Chemistry in 1968. In 1973 he received his doctorate in political science at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science from the University of Warsaw. In 1981 he qualified as a professor at the School of Social Sciences of the Central Committee of the Polska Zjednoczona partia Robotnicza ( Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR ) in political science. He has the title of professor of human sciences. He worked in the Institute of Political Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. From 1977 to 1978 he was a Fulbright scholar at Harvard University and in 1988 at the University of California, Berkeley.

From 1967 to 1990 he was a member of the PZPR. After that, he was a functionary of the Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej ( Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP ) (he was one of the founders of this party ) and since 1999 he sits in the State Executive Committee of the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD).

Since 1991 he is re-elected Member of the Sejm for the SLD and in the years 1993, 1997, 2001, 2005 and 2007. Since that time, he sits in the Delegation of the Sejm and the Senate on Euro Europe in Strasbourg. In the years 1994 to 1998 and 2003 he was Deputy Chairman of this organization. From 2003 to 2004 he was an observer in the European Parliament from May to July 2004, Polish deputy to the European Parliament. From 2001 to 2004 he was Secretary of State in the Prime Minister Leszek Miller law firm and Belka.

In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was on the list of Lewica i Demokraci - selected ( Left and Democrats LiD ) for the constituency with 18,408 votes Olsztyn for the sixth time in the Sejm. He is Deputy Chairman of the Sejmkommissionen for EU Affairs and member of the Foreign Affairs Commission.

On 22 April 2008 he became a member of the Group Lewica.
