Tadeusz Pikus

Tadeusz Pikus ( born September 1, 1949 in Zabiele, Poland) is appointed Bishop of Drohiczyn.

Life

Tadeusz Pikus came back in 1975, the seminary of the Archdiocese of Warsaw and studied Catholic theology and philosophy at the Catholic Theological Academy in Warsaw. He received on 7 June 1981 the Auxiliary Bishop of Warsaw, Jerzy Modzelewski, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

Pikus was a curate in the parish of Holy Family in Jaktorów. In 1983 he was sent for further studies to Spain. At the University of Navarra Tadeusz Pikus in 1985 his doctorate in theology. He then became private secretary to the archbishop of Warsaw, Cardinal Jozef Glemp. From 1988 to 1990, Tadeusz Pikus was prefect at the seminary in Warsaw. In 1990 he was sent to Moscow and was chaplain for the resident Poland. Tadeusz Pikus 1992 professor of fundamental theology at the Catholic Theological Academy in Warsaw and at the seminary in Warsaw.

On 24 April 1999, Pope John Paul II appointed titular bishop of Lysinia and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Warsaw. The archbishop of Warsaw, Cardinal Jozef Glemp, donated to him on 8 May of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Wloclawek, Bronisław Dembowski, and the Bishop of Warsaw - Praga, Kazimierz Romaniuk.

On March 29, 2014, Pope Francis appointed as Bishop of Drohiczyn.
