Tadpole Galaxy

UGC 10214, also known as Tadpole Galaxy, which is, to German Kaulquappengalaxie, is a barred spiral galaxy that is about 420 million light -years away from Earth. The long tail, which can be seen in the picture from the Hubble, is from a collision with a smaller galaxy. The tail extends over a distance of 280,000 light years and provides UGC 10214 the appearance of a tadpole.
