Taero is a Danish island in the Ulvsund between the islands of Sjælland ( Eng.: Zealand ) and Møn. The island has a size of 175 hectares and is one of inhabitants ( 1 January 2013) permanently inhabited. The island is part of the parish community (Danish: Sogn ) Stensby Sogn, which belonged to Harde Barse Herred imPræstø office until 1970, then to Langebæk municipality in the former Storstrøms office, with the municipal reform on 1 January 2007 in Vordingborg commune in the region Zealand has risen.
