Tahurwaili was a Hittite Great King of the 15th century BC

Tahurwaili may with a gold lancers identically the same name who killed a large part of Ammunas family to help Huzzija I. to the throne. In this case, it would be Zuru father, the captain of the guard.

Tahurwaili probably would have been expelled after Telipinu King, where he would either be appointed by the Telipinu his successor son Alluwamna preempted with a Thronusurpation or this (at first). On the other hand, there is the possibility that Tahurwaili was overthrown by Alluwamna. Other interpretations rows Tahurwaili without direct reference by Alluwamna or even much later in the royal succession.

Tahurwailis rule was known only through a Tontafelfragment and a seal impression, because his name is not found in the lists of victims of the rulers. Maybe he was paid as a usurper of them. Only surviving Regierungstat his rule is a contract with Eheja, the ruler of Kizzuwatna.
