TAK-Cyprus

Türk Ajansi Kıbrıs (TAK, German: Turkish News Agency Cyprus ) is a news agency in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It was founded on 21 December 1973, has a mandate to deliver messages from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus abroad and prepare foreign news for the country. To this end sends the TAK messages to the agencies Reuters, AP, Agence France-Presse and IRNA and in return receives news of the first-mentioned agency.

Within the Turkish-speaking area, the TAK operated in the domestic media such as the press, TV channels and radio stations and in Turkey, the Anatolian news agency and the broadcaster TRT.
