Take to the Skies

Take to the Skies is the first studio album by the British post-hardcore band Enter Shikari. It was first published on 25 March 2007 in the UK. In the first week of sales alone were 28,000 copies of the work to be sold, so that it could reach # 4 on the official album charts in the United Kingdom. Moreover, were sold worldwide to date, more than 250,000 copies. In the UK it was later for over 100,000 sales of gold status. The two songs Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour and Jonny Sniper were released as singles.

Background

The album includes a number of demos, EPs and songs, which were presented before releasing their debut album. The song Sorry You're Not A Winner found himself already on the eponymous EP from the year 2003. This track was re-released in 2006 along with the single OK, Time For Plan B later. Two years earlier, the then third EP was Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour appeared to originate from both the eponymous single and Jonny Sniper. The demo version of Mothership was pre-published in the year 2006.

After the album's release in Europe, the band was looking for a very long time for a label through which you Take to the Skies in North America could bring to the market. Finally, the album about Tiny Evil Records was released on 30 October 2007.

The background on the naming of the album tracks 1, 5, 9, 11,13 and 17 is not clear. In some versions, these are rendered as "untitled"; " Stand Your Ground, This Is Ancient Land " for example, in the digital version of the first track as is and the other, called song called " Interlude ".

In the iTunes name the titles get 9 and 17, the name " Reprise 1" and " Reprise 2 ". Track 17 is sometimes referred to as "closing ".
