Takeda Kanryūsai

Takeda Kanryūsai (Japanese武田 観 柳 斎;? Izumo, † June 22, 1867 ) was a samurai of the Bakumatsu and the captain of the 5th unit of the Shinsengumi, a police unit in Kyoto.

He planned to betray the Shinsengumi. When they learned of this, Takeda was murdered by them.
