Takeo Ishii

Takeo Ishi (Japanese石井健 雄, Takeo Ishii, March 3, 1947 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese singer and yodeler. He has been married since 1985 and has four sons and one already deceased daughter Julia.

Life

Takeo Ishi grew up in Tokyo and studied mechanical engineering after school, because he was to take over the company from his father once. In his spare time, he was excited by zither and dulcimer, so that he is in Tokyo taught playing these instruments. With records of Jodlers Franzl Lang he learned as an autodidact yodeling, so he soon got an appearance on Japanese television. Then he went to Europe and sang in Switzerland before in a tourist restaurant near Zurich, where he was engaged immediately. Then he sang to himself in his idol Franzl Lang, who took him under his wing and in the mission " Practice makes perfect " with Maria Hellwig brought. After that, he became known as " yodelling Direction Japanese " in Germany. He received numerous appearances on radio and television and was with colleagues of folk music on the go. Takeo Ishi lives with his wife and four sons, Michael (* 1989), Andrew ( * 1992), Maximilian (* 1994) and Luke (* 2002) in Reit im Winkl.

In recent years it has become a little quiet around him. Through an appearance at Stefan Raab's TV total mission he could also gaining notoriety among the younger audience.
