The Talagi Airport (Russian Аэропорт Талаги, scientific transliteration Aeroport Talagi ) is an international airport in Russia, about 11 km northeast of Arkhangelsk. At the airport there is the settlement Talaschski Awiagorodok, in the airport, most employees live.

History

The airport was opened on 5 February 1963. In addition to the civil aviation, he served since the Soviet air defense unit Wojska PWO ( Войска ПВО ) as a base of 518 hunting Flight Regiment (518 - й истребительный авиационный полк ). In 1998 the regiment was disbanded. Since 1995 he is also used for international flights.
