Talgat Musabayev

Talghat Amankeldiuly Musabayev ( Kazakh Cyrillic Талғат Аманкелдіұлы Мұсабаев, Russian Талгат Амангельдиевич Мусабаев; born January 7, 1951 in Kargaly, Kazakhstan ) is a former Kazakh cosmonaut.

Space flights

Musabayev was a crew member of the missions Soyuz TM -19 and Soyuz TM- 27th

He was commander of the Soyuz space flight of the first space tourists Dennis Tito. On 28 April 2001, he launched with Soyuz TM -32 to the International Space Station. Two days later, on April 30, the ship docked at 7:59 clock to UTC at the station.

After the spaceman activity

Since March 2007 he has been director of the National Space Agency of Kazakhstan KazCosmos.

Private

Musabayev is married and has two children.
