The Talkeetna Mountains are a mountain range of North American coastal mountains in the region of the South Central U.S. state of Alaska. They are located north of Anchorage between the Chugach Mountains to the east and north-west of it in a semicircle enclosing Alaska.

West of the Talkeetna Mountains flows the Susitna and Matanuska River southeast. They extend 178 kilometers from north to south and 278 kilometers from east to west, covering an area of ​​26,537 km ². The highest mountain is the Sovereign Mountain with 2697 meters. In the southwest of Talkeetna Mountains, a road leads over the Hatcher Pass.

The Talkeetna Mountains are mostly state-owned and managed, among others, by the Department of Natural Resources.
