Talodi (rarely written Talawdi or Teloudi ) is a city in the Nuba Mountains in the state of Dschanub Kordofan in Sudan. It is located east of Kaduqli.

History

In colonial times, the Nuba Mountains were sometimes administered as its own province with Talodi as its capital, before they were in 1929 connected to the Kordofan province.

On October 31, 2011 fighting between the Sudan People's Liberation Army North (SPLM -N) and the Sudanese army took place in Talodi. Several hundred people were killed. Both parties claimed that the victims were soldiers of the enemy.
