Tami Hoag ( born January 20, 1959 in Cresco, Iowa) is an American writer.

Tami Hoag, born Tami Mikkelson, grew up in a small town in southeastern Minnesota. At age 18 she married and supported the training of her husband, Daniel Hoag, through various professional activities. Her first publications were romance novels later, she turned to the detective novel, in which numerous novels are to be regarded as a mixture of two genres. Successful from the beginning, many of her books soon appeared on the bestseller list of the New York Times. Her novel prior bad acts (Eng. In all innocence ) already conquered shortly after the release of the first rank on the bestseller list of paperback novels in the influential New York newspaper.

A compensation for writing Tami Hoag makes love to horseriding; they even reached a national Grand Prix level in dressage. For a long time she lived with her husband on a horse ranch in Virginia before moving to Los Angeles, California. Some of their horses play a role in her book Shadow horse.
