About the Tampere railway station (Finnish Tampere Rautatieasema, swedish Tampere Järnvägsstation ) is the city of Tampere, linked to the Finnish rail network, which is operated by the state VR Yhtymä.

Tampere got the first time in 1876 following the route from Turku via Tampere to Hämeenlinna. The former wooden station building was no longer grown rapidly growing ridership and in 1936 replaced by a new building. Striking feature is its 36 meter high clock tower.

There are connections in the capital, Helsinki, Turku, Jyväskylä, Oulu, Pori and Haapamäki.
