Tan Singh

Tan Singh (* in Barmer, Rajasthan ) was an Indian politician. He belonged to the Rajput clan of Rathore ( Rathore Rajput Mahecha ) and was landowners ( " Bhuswami ").

Career

Singh was one of the founders of Shri Kshatriya Yuvak Sangh, a radical organization for young Rajputs in modern times. He led the organization from 1946 to 1954 and from 1959 to 1969.

In the early 1950s he was a member of parliament in the state of Rajasthan and served there 1956/57, for four months as opposition leader. He was a member of the Indian lower house ( Lok Sabha ) for the electoral district of Barmer (Rajasthan) ( 1962-1967 Ram Rajya Parishad for the party and 1977 to 1980 for the Janata Party ).
