Tandai

Tandai (Japanese探 题) are in the Kamakura and Muromachi period of Japanese history, both term for two headquarters of the Bakufu, and the title of the officers who were stationed there (the title roughly corresponded to that of a Governor-General ). The first of these quarters was built in Kyoto 1221 ( Rokuhara Tandai ), the second in 1293 to Kyūshū ( Chinzei Tandai ).
