Tangerine Tree

The Tangerine Tree Project is a non- profit CD-R collection of Tangerine Dream concerts and other rarities, which originate from spectator concert recordings and other recordings. The goal of the project was to make available to the sonically best unreleased concerts a wide audience. The project is well-known musicians and was tolerated by them, under the condition of a strictly profit -free base. Each edition of Tangerine Trees was carefully compiled, the sound quality was subsequently improved and accompanied with high-quality illustrations.

Some editions of the project were used as the basis for regular Tangerine Dream CDs. So published the British label Castle / Sanctuary in 2003 and 2004, the " Tangerine Dream - The Bootle Box Set Vol 1" and " Vol 2 ", where it is official pressings of some " Tangerine Tree " CD- Rs acted (recordings in Vol 1: Sheffield 29 October 1974, London April 2 1975, Croydon October 23, 1975, Bilbao 31 January 1976 and Berlin June 27, 1976, and in Vol 2: Nottingham 8 November 1976, Washington 4 April 1977, Hamburg February 24, 1978, Newcastle October 25, 1981, Frankfurt June 11, 1983 " Rainer Werner Fassbinder Memorial Concert" ). The Tangerine Leaves expenditures are based on recordings that do not come close to the quality standard of Tangerine Trees or concerts, which do not differ significantly from a series of concerts of Tangerine Trees. If a better source found for a concert, so could a tangerine Leave edition are obsolete and has been replaced by a corresponding Tangerine Tree edition.

The audio DVD Tree expenditure each consist of 2 Tangerine Tree sets on a DVD showing the cover art to the music. These outputs are standard DVDs with a menu structure and are available in both PAL and NTSC versions.

The Tangerine Tree project was completed on 17 October 2006 by its initiator and mastermind Heiko Heerßen because of legal problems and personal reasons.
