Tanzanian general election, 2010

The parliamentary elections in Tanzania in 2010 found 31 October 2010 simultaneously with the presidential elections in Tanzania in 2010. It was the fourth free elections in Tanzania since the introduction of multiparty system in 1992. Observers evaluated the elections as generally free, fair and peaceful. However, observers criticized the Commonwealth Secretariats that the ruling party Chama Cha longstanding Mapinduzi (CCM ) was through the extensive identification of party and government structures at a considerable advantage.

Significant election winner was the long-time ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi, which won more than two thirds of the seats.
