Tarak Ben Ammar
Tarak Ben Ammar ( born June 12, 1949 in Tunis, Tunisia) is a Tunisian film producer.
Life
Tarak Ben Ammar was born the son of a Tunisian father and a Corsican mother in Tunis. His aunt, Wassila Bourguiba, was the second wife of former Tunisian President Habib Bourguiba, and thus "First Lady" of Tunisia.
As a young man studied Ben Ammar International Economics at Georgetown University in Washington, DC (USA) where he obtained his diploma in 1970. With the above-mentioned relations with the Tunisian President Ben Ammar 1974, founded Carthago Films, a production company based in Tunis, with whom he 1975 Roberto Rossellini's film drama The Messiah produced.
