Tarik Benhabiles

Tarik Benhabiles ( born February 5, 1965 in Algiers, Algeria ) is a former French tennis player. His highest position in the tennis world ranking he reached on June 8, 1987, in 22nd place

Career

Benhabiles was in 1981 Professional after he won the junior competition at the French Open. He has never won an ATP tournament, although he denied twice a final. In 1984, he lost in Treviso against Vitas Gerulaitis and 1990 in Genoa against Ronald Agenor. Benhabiles was a member of the French Davis Cup team, but played only one match in doubles against South Korea in 1987. He explained his resignation in 1992 at the age of 27 years.

After his resignation Benhabiles began a coaching career, first with Nicolas Escudé, after his move to the United States in 1997, then as a coach of Andy Roddick. Latter he brought into the top until June 2003 10

After the separation of Roddick Benhabiles worked until January 2004 with Richard Gasquet, Tatiana Golovin ( in 2006) and Benjamin Becker.
