Tash (Rapper)
Tash, or Catashtraphe ( * 1972 in Columbus, Ohio as Rico Smith) is an American rap artist.
Tash began his career in the group ' Disturbers Of The Peace ' (DOP). Its name is an abbreviation of ' Catashtraphe ', a deliberate misspelling of ' catastrophe ', the English word for disaster. Together with E- Swift, also a member of DOP, he moved at the age of 16 years to California. He was a protégé of King Tee and Ice-T, and finally co-founder of the Alkaholiks. After their third album Tash started on his solo debut work, which finally appeared on Loud Records in 1999. Followed in 2009, his second solo album Control Freek.
