Geographical location

The pigeons cliff is located in the northern part of the high resin in the Harz National Park. It is located about halfway between Ilse castle and the adjacent west in Lower Saxony Bad Harzburg on the eastern slope of Eckertals to 560.3 m above sea level. NN. It forms the north-western spur of Frankenberg's (about 570 m above sea level. NN ).

Viewing and hiking

From the pigeons cliff views in the Harz mountains and the Brocken is possible; also is a look at the mountain ranges near Bad Harzburg with the Rabenklippe (including dortigem forest guest house Rabenklippe ) on the opposite side of the Eckertals. You can reach the cliff wandering through the Eckertal or on a 6- kilometer long path that starts in Ilsenburg. The cliff is included as No. 4 in the system of stamp locations of the Harz hiking pin; the stamp station is located next to a standing on the cliff shelter.
