Tavoris Cloud

Tavoris Karod Cloud ( born January 10, 1982 in Quincy, Florida) is an American professional boxer.

Cloud grew up in Florida in the city of Quincy. With 16 years cloud started boxing. His mother was against it at first, but eventually they accepted his decision.

As an amateur, his record was 45 wins and eight defeats. In 2000 he took part in the U-19 World Championship for amateurs.

His first professional fight denied cloud 2004. Having all won ahead of his first five fights, he finally had in his sixth professional fight against Journeyman Reggie Strickland, go to the first and only time, to make ends meet.

After all he was able to finish ahead of the next 11 fights, he finally fought in March 2008 against his compatriot Mike Wood for the vacant title of North American associations USBA, NABA and NABO. This fight he could by a whacked in the first round to decide for themselves.

On 8 August 2008 he defeated in an eliminator for the IBF mandatory challenger position of the Mexican Julio Gonzalez by a technical knockout in the tenth round.

On 28 August 2009 he was able, after a unanimous points victory over former world champion Clinton Woods win the vacant IBF light heavyweight title.

The title he lost in spring 2013 to Bernard Hopkins on points.
