Taxi to the Dark Side

Taxi to Hell is an American documentary from 2007, which won the prize for best documentary at the Academy Awards 2008. He reports on the murder of Afghan taxi driver Dilawar, who was tortured by U.S. soldiers and U.S. torture specialists to death while he was imprisoned at the Bagram Air Base.

The film examines the American policy on torture and interrogation in general, specifically the use of torture at the CIA and their research on sensory deprivation.

In the German television movie was the first time on 8 October 2007 at the French-German cultural channel Arte.
