The Teatro Massimo Bellini is an opera house in Catania, Sicily.

The Opera House in the birthplace of Vincenzo Bellini was opened on 31 May 1890, the opera Norma.

The House holds 1,200 people and was designed by the architect Andrea Scala and modified by his collaborator Carlo Sada and built. The facade is inspired by the Biblioteca Marciana in Venice by Jacopo Sansovino, but the rest of the building is reflected differently and takes the typical shape of a theater on.

During its existence, the Opera House was almost the entire work of Bellini. Many of his operas were performed by well-known opera singers. 1951, the 150th anniversary Bellini Maria Callas sang the role of Norma.
