Techint

Techint is an Argentine company with headquarters in Buenos Aires. As a conglomerate Techint is mainly active in the fields of construction and steel production. The company was founded by the Italian Agostino Rocca, as the Italian immigrants in Argentina, the company built up in 1945. His son Roberto Rocca continued to manage the company.

For group Techint include the Italian subsidiary Tenaris and the Argentine subsidiary Ternium participants. About the Italian subsidiary Tenova SpA ( 5000 employees, 1.7 billion euro turnover ) also includes the German Tenova TAKRAF, the subgroup Tenova LOI Italimpianti ( industrial furnace manufacturer, lead company LOI Thermprocess GmbH, Essen) and the South African mining equipment supplier, Bateman Engineering to the group.
