Teemu Lassila

Teemu Lassila ( born March 26, 1983 in Helsinki) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender, who was recently at HK Avangard Omsk in the Kontinental Hockey League contract. His father Hannu was also a professional ice hockey goaltender.

Career

Teemu Lassila began his career as a hockey player in the junior section of TPS Turku for the first team he in the 2002/03 season his debut in the SM- liiga was after he was taken as a substitute goalkeeper in the professional squad in the previous year. In the following years he was a regular for TPS for use and was in season 2003/ 04 runner-up with his team. In the same season he ran in five games to the Players out on loan for Turkus League rivals Ässät Pori. After he had spent in the 2004/05 season for the first time an entire season as a goalkeeper at TPS, he moved to Sweden, where he was for two years for the capital club Djurgårdens IF in the Elitserien between the posts.

From 2007 to 2011 played for HPK Hämeenlinna Lassila in the SM- liiga, where he failed in the 2009/10 season with HPK only in the playoff final for the championship title to his former club TPS Turku. In the 2007 /08 season he was also five times as Players out on loan for LeKi and Kiekko -Vantaa in Mestis second-rate on the ice. After winning the world championship title in 2011 with Finland, he was obliged to season 2011/12 of Metallurg Novokuznetsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. For Metallurg he graduated in Episode 50 KHL games at above-average statistics, before he was taken in May 2012 by Barys Astan for two years under contract. In the 2012/13 season, he completed 23 KHL games for Astana at a catch rate of nearly 90 percent, rather he was obliged by HK Avangard Omsk in May 2013. After 10 games for Avangard, where he had a Gegentorschnitt of 4.40, his contract early October of the same year, was dissolved by mutual consent.

Internationally

For Finland Lassila, in 2004, 2009, 2010 and 2011 at the Euro Hockey Tour in part. At the World Championship 2011 in Slovakia, he was world champion with his team. In its three missions he pointed to an overall Gegentorschnitt of 2:19 and reached a quota of 91.3 percent.
