Tefnakht II

Stephinates (also Tefnachte II ) was according to Manetho second " king" of the " protosaitischen Dynasty," which is set before the start of the 26th dynasty. Stephinates reigned from 695-688 BC with a duration of seven years. As a Greek name equivalent is probably based on the ancient Egyptian form " Tefnacht " ("His Strength" ).

Since no monuments are occupied by Stephinates, he was probably a local vassal of the 25th dynasty. Wolfgang Helck sees him as a possible son of Bakenrenef.
