Tekniska högskolan metro station

Tekniska högskolan is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro, located south of the eponymous Tekniska högskolan. It is located in the Östermalm district. The station is served by the Röda linjen of the Stockholm metro system, and on the narrow gauge Roslagsbanan that stops at the aboveground station Stockholms Östra, and buses to Norrtälje. The central location in the city center and the numerous interchanges make the station into one of the most frequented of the metro network. On a normal working day rise to 23,000 commuters here.

The station was taken on September 30, 1973 in operation, as the northern section of the Röda linjen between Östermalmstorg and Tekniska was inaugurated högskolan and was before the opening of the extension of the Röda linjen to the University until January 12, 1975 end of the line T14. The platforms are located approximately 18 meters below the ground. The station is located between the stations stadium and Universitetet. Stockholm Central Station is 2.5 km.
