The whole Atlas Mountains topographically and politically

The Tell Atlas (also Little Atlas; Arab الأطلس التلي, DMG al -atlas at- Talli ) is one to the Atlas Mountains in North Africa belonging mountain range of over 1000 kilometers in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, which is on the Mediterranean.

It is north of the Mediterranean and south enclosed by the highlands of the bulkhead. Based on a promontory of the Mediterranean forms the eastern boundary in Tunisia, while it west to replace the other mountain ranges Rif and Middle Atlas in Morocco.

In his region, many large cities, such as the Algerian capital, Algiers are approximately 1,500,000 (2005) inhabitants or Oran with 770,000 (2005) inhabitants. The also Algerian city of Constantine with approximately 505,000 (2005) inhabitants is located directly in the mountains at 650 meters above sea level.

Its highest summit, the Lalla - Khadidja, located 2,308 meters above sea level.
