The Tellermine 42 was an anti-tank mine in the Wehrmacht during World War II.

History

The Tellermine 42 was introduced in late 1942 as the successor to the Tellermine 35 in the Wehrmacht. It was used until the end of World War II. Successor was introduced from 1943 Tellermine 43

Operation

The mine, which was covered or stored openly, triggered by pressure on the pressure plate on the lid. More Zugzünder in the side and bottom of the mine and discharge igniters were responsible for the recovery backup. To trigger the mine, a pressure of 210 kg was needed.
