Tellermine 43

The Tellermine 43 was an anti-tank mine in the Wehrmacht during World War II.

History

The Tellermine 43 was introduced in 1943 as a successor to the Tellermine 42 in the Wehrmacht. It was used until the end of World War II. She was the last stage of development of anti-tank mines in the Wehrmacht. Their development was primarily the production simplification.

Operation

The mine, which was hidden or stored open, triggered by pressure on the pressure plate on the lid. More Zugzünder in the side and bottom of the mine and discharge igniters were responsible for the recovery backup. To trigger the mine, a pressure of 210 kg was needed.
