Temara

Temara (Arabic تمارة ) is a city on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, it belongs to the metropolitan area of ​​Rabat and Salé, and is located south of the administrative region ( Wilaya ) of the two cities. The distance from the center of the capital Rabat Temara is about 15 kilometers.

History

Temara was founded in the 12th century ( 1130-1163 ) by the Almohad Sultan Abd al - Mumin, who built a mosque and a madrasa ( educational institution of theological sciences ).
