Tenova Takraf

TAKRAF is the abbreviation for surface mining equipment, cranes and conveyors, describing a combine of the GDR. It included almost all state-owned enterprises in the industry, as well as suppliers, kombinat own technical research institutes, design offices, and others. Precursor of the combine was the VVB TAKRAF, which existed until 1980 and bearing the name VVB mining equipments and conveyors to 1965. The TAKRAF products were marketed under a unit logo from the name in other countries.

TAKRAF parent company and the seat of the Kombinat VEB line 1985 of loading and transport engineering (VTA ) Leipzig. This operation was in the process of nationalization of the private company Bleichert Transport GmbH and SAG Bleichert Leipzig, which was passed in January 1954, the German Democratic Republic, which emerged. On 1 May 1990, the combine in the TAKRAF heavy engineering AG was transformed, which functioned as a holding company and the THA belonged.
