Terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase

The terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase is an enzyme which adds nucleotides to the 3' -terminal end of the DNA. Although not a complementary strand thereto is required, but the enzyme is not capable of de novo DNA synthesis. It is heavily involved in the maturation of stem cells to T- lymphocytes or B- lymphocytes.
