Terry Albritton

Terry Albritton (actually Terence Hillary Albritton, born January 14, 1955September 1, 2005 in Phnom Penh) was an American shot putter.

In 1975 he won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Mexico City.

At the start of the 1976 season, he improved the world record of Al Feuerbach in 1973 by three centimeters to 21.85 m, but missed as fourth in the U.S. Trials to participate in the Olympic Games in Montreal.

At the Athletics World Cup in 1977, he finished fourth.

1976 and 1977 he was U.S. champion outdoors, in 1974 and 1976 in the hall. For the University of Hawaii starting in 1976, he was NCAA indoor champion, starting for the Stanford University 1977 NCAA champion. In addition, he was champion of France in 1977.

After working 14 years as a teacher and coach at St. Anthony High School in Maui, he moved in 2004 to Southeast Asia, where he dealt with literary projects. He died at the age of 50 of a heart attack.
