Terry Goodkind
Terry Goodkind ( born 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska in the United States ) is an American fantasy author.
Growing up in Omaha, where he attended an art school, he moved in 1983 with his wife Jeri in the forests of New England (Maine). Before he started writing, he worked as a violin maker and restorer. In 1994, the first volume of his cycle appeared Sword of Truth, by which he became internationally known.
The first concepts to his work created during the house-building in the woods of Maine: "Everything started with Kahlan and I made a wonderful discovery. As soon as I started writing, I knew I had found something that I can devote the rest of my life "
Terry Goodkind describes himself as a follower of " objectivism ".

The sword of truth ( in the original Sword of Truth ) is the German and the English edition of 11 volumes ( in the old German edition of 17 volumes ) and has been translated by Caspar wood in the German language.
