Teruyuki Kagawa
Teruyuki Kagawa (Japanese香 川 照 之, Kagawa Teruyuki, born December 7, 1965 in Tōkyō Prefecture ) is a Japanese actor. In 2009 he played the Japanese Prince Asaka in the German film John Rabe.
Life
Kagawa is the son of Ichikawa Ennosuke III (三代 目 市 川 猿 之 助), a Kabuki actor and Yuko Hama (浜 木 绵 子), an actress and a member of the Takarazuka Revue. After the divorce of his parents, he was raised by his mother, who continues to play-acting. After graduation in social psychology at the University of Tōkyō 1989 he made his acting debut in the NHK Taiga drama Lady Kasuga. He is described as humble and polite actor.
After the Prince Asaka played in the German - Chinese- French co-production John Rabe, he caused in Japan by the sentence "I saw this movie and found out that the Japanese have really made many cruel things. " (この映画を見て、本当に日本人は残忍なことを多くしたのだということを知りました。) great criticism.
