Testicular pain

As an acute scrotum in medicine and urology sudden, severe pain of various causes in one, rarely two designated Skrotalfächern. In addition to the pain radiating usually in the groin, swelling and redness of the respective side of the scrotum may be present.

Possible causes are:

  • A testicular or Hydatid torsion
  • Inflammation of the Epididymis ( epididymitis ),
  • Testicle itself ( orchitis )
  • Vas deferens ( Deferentitis )
  • Spermatic cord ( Funiculitis )

Since the torsion due to pinch to the venous blood outflow stasis an adequate blood supply can be whole and thus lead to the downfall of the testis / testes, always the surgical exploration is indicated in cases of doubt.
