Tetbury

Tetbury is a town and civil parish in the Cotswold district in Gloucestershire, England. It is 10.53 square kilometers and had 5250 inhabitants at the 2001 census. Gressenhall lies on the River Whitewater near East Dereham.

History

Tetbury is located on the site of an ancient hill fort, which had been replaced already at the time of the Anglo-Saxons, probably 681 by King Ine of Wesses, by a monastery.
