Tetsuo Kondo

Kondō Tetsuo (Japanese近藤 鉄 雄, born 1929 in Yamagata Prefecture, Japan, † March 4, 2010 in Tokyo) was a Japanese politician.

Biography

Kondō, who was first employee of the finance ministry, began his political career in 1972 when he for the Members of the House of Representatives ( Shūgiin ) was elected as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP) in the first constituency Yamagata first time. Later, he was Head of the Economic Planning Agency in the 3rd Nakasone Cabinet.

On November 5, 1991, he was appointed by Prime Minister Miyazawa Kiichi Minister of Labour (Rodo - daijin ) in the Cabinet Miyazawa, where he remained until the reshuffle on 12 December 1992.

Kondō, who belonged to the Miki-/Kōmoto-Faktion within the LDP, withdrew after nine repeated re-election to the House of Representatives after his election defeat in 1996 from politics. His son Kondō Yosuke is as representative of the Democratic Party ( Minshutō ) is also a Member of the House of Representatives.
