Texel Group

The Texel group is a group of mountains of the Oetztal Alps in South Tyrol, Italy. It is made ​​entirely in the Texel Group Nature Park under protection.

In the south, the group from Val Venosta with the Adige valley, bounded on the east by the Passeiertal and to the west by Schnalstal. The border to the northern Schnalskamm forms the Pfossental west of Eisjöchls. North-east of the Pfelderer separates the valley from the Texel Gurgler comb. The highest elevation of the Texel Group is the Roteck with 3337 m slm, other peaks are the Texel peak ( 3318 m ), high brightness ( 3281 m), the turbidity wall ( 3266 m), the Tschigat ( 2998 m) or the Spronser Rötelspitze ( 2625 m).

Around the Texel Group leads the approximately 90 km long Merano High Mountain Trail, which can be committed in three to six days.
