TeXstudio

TeXstudio (formerly TexMakerX ) is a cross-platform editor for the creation of LaTeX documents. It is one of several forks of the LaTeX editor Texmaker.

In contrast to Texmaker TeXstudio offers greater interactivity with the source code, for example, update the tree view while typing, interpretation of newly defined LaTeX commands and syntax checking, which checks the correct spelling of LaTeX commands when typing as well as their correct use in simple cases, such as math commands outside of mathematics environments. TeXstudio can handle Unicode encoded files.

Key Features

TeXstudio can compile and view documents. To facilitate its work, the program features syntax highlighting, real-time syntax checking, and real-time spell check. Moreover, it can automatically complete LaTeX commands. TeXstudio is extensible through scripts and dominated code folding.
