Thabang Lebese

Thabang Lebese ( born August 24, 1973 in Soweto, † February 22, 2012 in Johannesburg) was a South African football player.

Lebese who came to the Kaizer Chiefs over the Orlando Wanderers and Orlando Hotspurs, moved there in 1993 in the senior squad. He denied on January 25, 1998, a game for the South African national football team as part of the COSAFA Cup against Namibia, which, however, was lost 3-2. After more than 200 games for the Chiefs, he moved in 2000 to Ria Stars to Pietersburg. There he was able to achieve in one season in 28 games eight goals, before moving to the Orlando Pirates. There he remained for only one season and then switched to the Silver Stars, but where he stood only for a total of eight games on the court. After each another scoreless season with the Moroka Swallows, the Black Leopards and the Dynamos FC he ended his active career.

After his active career was mainly active in Lebese youth development. On February 22, 2012, he died unexpectedly at the age of 38 years.
