Thailand women's national football team

The Thai national football team of women ( Thai: ฟุตบอล หญิง ทีม ชาติ ไทย ) is the decision taken by the responsible trainer representative selection of Thai football players for international matches.

History

Their first official international match they played on October 16, 1981 against Taiwan; the game ended in a 0-2 defeat for Thailand. Thailand is said to have played international matches already in the 1970s, but these do not appear in the FIFA statistics. Current coach is Suphon Yapaha.

Greatest success for Thai ladies was winning the Asia Cup in 1983, then you could defeat India 3-0. In the tournaments in 1975, 1977 and 1981 had the second place, in 1986 it was third.

Although Thailand is still the strongest women's team in South East Asia, major successes in Asia, the team, however, could not be more pleased. In 2004, Thailand notified the U- 19 Women's World Cup, but the team of hosts different point and scoreless in the first round out.

For the Asian Cup Women 2010, eleven qualified prior to the conclusion of all matches in the qualifying. Thus, the women participated for the 6th time in a row at the Asian Cup.

Kits and jersey

Traditionally, playing the Thai national team has always been in the Red and Blue jerseys. Red is used for home games, blue for away games. The colors are borrowed from the national colors of the country. Since November 2008, the team is playing for the first time in the yellow jersey, with light blue. Yellow is the color of King Bhumibol, since there is a fixed assignment of weekdays and colors. Monday, the day on which the monarch was born, yellow is associated. With the equipment supplier Nike, the association also completed their first agreement with a foreign firm. Previously, the national sporting goods manufacturer Grand Sport and FBT supplier of the national teams had been. The contract was signed with Nike in 2007 and is valid for five years.
