The Thalay Sagar is a 6904 m high mountain in the western Himalayas. It is located in the Gangtori Group, which is part of the Garhwal Himalayas, and is located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Due to its difficulties was first tried in the course of the 1970s to climb the mountain, was used as a sophisticated rock climbing on the highest mountains in the world. In June 1979, the Anglo-American team Kligfield Roy, John Thackray and Pete Thexton succeeded in the first ascent.
