According to Brian May had this summer, both he and Roger Tayor one song idea for a Christmas single by Queen. Both titles came demo recordings - the band opted for the essentially derived from Taylor Thank God It 's Christmas (as Credit are Taylor / May stated). The music composed by May Title I Dream of Christmas, however, appeared in 1987 - produced by May and John Deacon on bass - to Anita Dobson's album Talking of Love as well as a single.

Publications

The Single Thank God It 's Christmas was released on 26 November 1984. On the flip side, there are originating from the album The Works Title Man on the Prowl and Keep Passing the Open Windows; the 12 " maxi-single includes exclusive" Extended Versions " of these two songs. The single was released without an accompanying music video. It lasted six weeks in the UK charts, reaching number 21, the highest international placement achieved the single with Rank 8 in the Irish charts.
